Magic?

voodoo dollFor about 4 years now I've been hammered by bad luck.  Don't get me wrong - there's been the odd 'good' thing happen in that time (meeting and marrying my husband for example), but it really does seem like someone has been directing some bad luck voodoo in my direction.  The amount of bad luck, the number of hits, one after the other, got me thinking a few weeks ago.  I've said before: it seems that I must have broken a very large mirror to account for the prolonged run of extremely bad luck I've been experiencing.  It seemed that the bad luck was seeping out to the people I love too as they suffered mishaps you'd only see in soap operas!

So, in desperation, I decided to ask my daughter to 'reverse' whatever bad luck has been coming my way.  Lauren has been dabbling in Wicca, and although at first I didn't believe in that kind of thing, I was so desperate and down I decided that it couldn't hurt to try it.  Lauren said she couldn't send the bad luck back to whoever had sent it my way (and it really did 'feel' like it had been directed at me - I can't explain why I felt that), but she could 'bind' that bad luck.  She thought I was humouring her, but really, I was so desperate to escape the onslaught of bad events that struck me continuously, that I was beginning to believe there was something sinister about the situation, and was hoping a spell was a way out.  I really do feel silly typing this, but you can judge for yourself whether it's a load of nonsense.

So Lauren did a binding spell.  She said there were a few positive signs which happened as she was doing the spell.  It was a calm night, and the wind suddenly sprung up, and an owl came and sat on a fence and watched her while she did the spell, then flew away when she finished.  Spooky eh?

After that, the good luck started happening, one after the other.  I owe money everywhere, and it's been an incredibly difficult year financially to the point where I've been summoned to court for non-payment of my house rates.  I had to do my tax return and was expecting to have to pay around $600.  I drove to the accountant with a heavy heart, wondering where on earth I was going to get the money to pay that back.  Imagine my delight when I found out that I'm actually owed money - enough to pay the house rates.

Then the next week, we received the news we've been waiting for for three long years - Ben has his Aussie residency approved.  That journey has been one of ups and downs and absolute stress.  It has made me a neurotic mess.  It is an incredible relief and to think it came only a couple of weeks after Lauren did that spell...

There's a few other positive things that have happened lately, and maybe it's a state of mind, but I do 'feel' that whatever was hovering over us and affecting our lives negatively has lifted somewhat.  Was it the spell?  I don't know, but it has to be the biggest coincidence that the good stuff started happening finally, after Lauren cast that spell.

I know I sound like one of those air-headed woo-woo people in this post.  I'm usually very down-to-earth and common sense driven.  I've been reading and listening to some interviews lately on various topics including the topic global consciousness (and the scientific data which supports the theory) and have come to some interesting conclusions.  You can read about some of the things I've been thinking about in a new site we've been develeloping - Reality Mesh.

That's great, Lucy. I don't

That's great, Lucy.

I don't care where the good vibes are coming from, it's just wonderful that things are going better for you. :)

And I didn't know you were an Aussie like me!

Congrats on Ben's residency. My sister-in-law just went through a similar thing with her US hubby a couple of years ago and he's now received citizenship. It can be a pretty invasive process, can't it?

Hope the good luck continues,

Jane :)

Best of luck! :)

Magic or not I'm happy for you to hear good lucks are starting coming your way... I think life is like a wheel, it rotates constantly. Some times we are on top, some other times we'll be hitting the road bottom. It's okay, we won't be in the bottom forever :)

Interesting

Now this is interesting.  Isn't it strange that when we ask for something and actually get it we wonder if it happened by sheer luck or if it was because we actually asked?  As long as things are going better, that's the main thing, enjoy!
